Buttermilk

The buttermilk debate. Should you fry with it or not? NOT!!! it burns way to quickly. The only time buttermilk should be used is when your cooking a item that cooks super fast i.e. small skinless chicken breast. Maybe it's just me...any ideas for great buttermilk frying options?
